In the unified state register of legal entities and individuals employers on December 23, 2011 was recorded on the termination of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine. Besides, on January 11, 2012 President of Ukraine dismissed the Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy Serhiy Sirotyuk, who headed a commission on reorganization of the Ministry of Industrial Policy. 

According to statistic information received by Ukrautoprom from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) China automobile sales were 1,689,600 units in December 2011, increase 2.03% compared with previous month, increase 1.38% compared with the same period of 2010. Among main automobile categories, passenger car sales were 1,368,900 units, a rise of 4.61 percent year on year; the sales of commercial vehicle were 320,700 units, down 10.40 percent year on year. 

According to the Association "Ukrautoprom" Ukrainian auto market finished 2011 with a primary sales rate of 297 thousand 680 vehicles. 

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2012 opened its doors to over 5,000 journalists from 55 countries in Detroit, Michigan on the 9^th of January, 2012. These media representatives witnessed the “world premieres” of 27 vehicles. NAIAS is in the middle of its two-day press preview, and show organizers said they expect approximately 40 total new-vehicle introductions.

German group Daimler, which owns premium cars brand Mercedes-Benz, plans to sell 5-10% of its shares to the Chinese investor, and thus get ahead of BMW in the leaders’ list of the "premium" segment in China. 

Holding Company "AvtoKrAZ" produced the first batch of combined road machines KrAZ C20.2R "Dorozhnik" (6x4) on the basis of the fifth-generation truck KrAZ with a layout "cab over engine". The car is equipped with attachments for winter road maintenance of Croatian company «RASCO» and cab of the French company «Renault».
